About the musicians:

Neena Deb-Sen (cello)

Born and educated in the United States, Neena Deb-Sen is a graduate of Yale University and has performed throughout her country. Ms. Deb-Sen made her orchestral debut with the Children’s Orchestra Society at age thirteen, performing Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations. Soon after her debut, she was admitted to the prestigious Juilliard School, Pre-College Division, where she studied for four years, winning numerous competitions and prizes under the tutelage of Andre Emelianoff and Clara Kim. At eighteen, Ms. Deb-Sen was accepted to study at Yale University, where she was a pupil of the world-renowned Cello professor, Mr. Aldo Parisot. She remained at Yale for five years, simultaneously pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Yale College and a Master of Music in Cello Performance at the Yale School of Music. In 2011, Ms. Deb-Sen completed her Masters at the Yale School of Music and began working with the Macao Orchestra, where she is currently a member of the Cello section.

Wu Sheng-zhong (piano)

In 2006, Wu Sheng-zhong became the first musician from Hong Kong to graduate from the world-famous Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire. He is also the first foreign student to pursue a double aspirantura degree (the highest academic qualification in Russia) at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire. In 2009, he completed his postgraduate studies with specializations in piano performance and chamber ensemble.

Wu is an active participant in music festivals and concerts in Russia, Western Europe, Korea and Hong Kong.  His repertoire includes works by western European and Russian composers of various epochs and styles. In July 2011, Wu was presented by the Leisure and Cultural Service Department in Our Music Talent Series with an all-Liszt recital in Hong Kong City Hall Theatre to celebrate the Liszt-Mahler Year of 2011. Wu is currently a lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Institute of Education and the School of Arts in the Macao Polytechnic Institute.
